Another new song? I guess I tend to release'em in two's. Oh well. See you all in six months.
So, this is a quick one. I felt it'd been a while since I wrote an honest-to-god jazz tune, and I've been accumulating progressions and thought it might be high time to write one.
I wrote this laid back, slightly home-sick song for Seabreeze, who only wanted to get home to his wife and newborn son. So, I tried to capture what it felt like being away from home and your family. A bit like myself, but even more so for people overseas or otherwise. The breeze described in the song is the home-sickness you get from prolonged time without your loved ones. It really nudges you in the direction of home, doesn't it? That's how I feel.
lyrics
A quiet breeze, a gentle breeze,
watch it ebb and flow.
A wind at ease and leaves like these
let it all blow home.
A smile from you is all I need;
believe me, I have tried.
So call my name and let my wings
bring me to your side.
A quiet breeze, a gentle breeze
has never led astray.
So, take my heart and make it yours
forever and a day.

This album brings back a lot of memories of my early high school years, and the joy I got from seeing new things and discovering myself. I’m glad I was able to get a copy and support the artists instead of back then when I had to just listen to a YouTube playlist kramerthecourier
